Project created to counter the social isolation issue which was quite prominent in Vancouver according to a 2012 survey conducted by the Vancouver Foundation and a survey by Vancouver Coastal Health in 2014.

Thesis
“Providing a platform for newcomers to connect with neighbours would reduce social isolation and promote cultural mix.”

What is nuhu for?
It’s a website that allows newcomers to connect with people that like the same places you do and do the same activities you like within your neighbourhood.
‍‍
It can be used when you are new to the city and you are trying to figure out a neighbourhood to live in or to exploring new options when you want to move out from the neighbourhood you currently live in.

University Graduation Project
2016
This project aimed to find a way for the students at the Emily Carr University to learn about the benefits of certain foods and eat healthier on the university grounds without increasing the amount of money they are already spending.

This project was to research what it would take to improve students' health on campus and design accordingly. It was created for the ECU campus, however I want to develop an alternative version of this project that can be used in different cities and by anyone.

This concept wasn't only about the posters, it was also about creating a garden based on the colors which informs the nutritional values. It would also aim to get students to participate in gardening and for  the cafeteria to use the products planted right on campus to have cheaper fruits and vegetables available.

Her research was presented at the International AIDS Society(IAS) conference in Vancouver, July 19-22, 2015.
